Sun City, AZ, April 25, 2010 — The 1st annual Memorial Golf Tournament was held at Sun City Country Club on April 25th . The tournament was hosted by Bob DeGrenier and benefited the American Cancer Society, raising more than $2,000.
Perhaps the luckiest man of the day was Bill Patterson, who drove home in a brand new 2010 Chevy Silverado. On the tenth hole, a par 3, Patterson shot a hole in one using the Dixon Earth recyclable golf ball. That shot won him the grand prize Chevy.
The Dixon Golf promotional models were at the tournament to congratulate Bill on his great shot and even better luck.
“We at Dixon Golf would like to congratulate Bill on his terrific shot. We are also proud to be a part of such a worthy cause. The American Cancer Society does great work and we couldn’t be happier about the money raised or the skill Bill showed using his Dixon Earth,” says Dane Platt of Dixon Golf.
Dixon Golf, a Tempe, AZ based company, is decreasing their carbon footprint by manufacturing the world’s first recyclable golf ball. Borne from a desire to limit its impact on the environment, Dixon also offers a golf ball recycling program through its retail locations that pays $1 per used Dixon ball and $.50 for any other brand. Even the packaging is made from 100% recycled material. From core to cover, from packaging to production, Dixon Earth is setting a new standard in environmental consciousness. Dixon golf balls are distributed internationally and are USGA approved, with a rating of 92%. For more information about Dixon Golf, please visit www.dixongolf.com.
